For the past few months I have been doing some testing with a Sports Scientist at Nottm University, into the effects of 'powerbreathe' training. (He currently has most of the blood out of my right arm!) He has agreed to come and give a talk on sports science to the club one evening in January.....probabally at East Leake Leisure Centre. Subjects may include nutrition, heart rate training, principles of adaptation, anaerobic threshold and a question & answer session.
Please let me know the following: a) If you would be interested in attending b) Preferred nights of the week c) If the subjects above would be of interest, and any other subjects ypu would like him to discuss

Definately fom and Jen - I know most others would want to either. Can I ask for 3 weeks notice and not a club night, but before 19th Jan as it would be great revision. No too demanding am I? ?

Sounds great..
I think a 'Heart rate training' workshop would be very beneficial for everyone,I often get asked the question 'what should my heart rate be'? more often that not they have a heart rate monitor on their wrist at the time? Also good for the Juniors who are expressing an interest...
'principles of adaptation' would be good too
Mon nights are good for me

Hi, Very nice topic, and i would like to attend. However i wont be here until the 14th January, so any time after that would be great. Mondays after 7 are good for me as well. If not, maybe 1 hour before the Tuesday sessions? Maybe Saturdays? Thanks Marta
